Ouch! Well, I must be doing something right: Aeon claimed another web server last week. Some DNS bumfluffery also means the old URL is in limbo, so welcome to www.aeonproject.com. Despite the havoc it caused, thanks to all the sites that reported on Aeon over the last week - shame much of the attention was greeted with a 404. Clearly, the old backdrops hosting solution isn't going to work with thousands of downloaders a day, so I've had to tighten the pursestrings slightly. Until a better opportunity arises, all backdrops are now available via Bittorrent and Mediafire only. TV show posters, meanwhile, are available from thetvdb.com. June 22, 2008:
Aeon ALPHA11a released A more minor update this time, adding Showcase views to file (rather than library) windows, together with the aborted Wide icon views for TV shows. Wide icon support has been a nagging issue throughout Aeon's development and has never sat well with the overarching design. It seemed pointless, however, to completely alienate users of wide icons when the view type, rubbish as it is, was already in place. So while it's disabled by default in this version, it is and shall remain available for those who choose to use it. Again, though, Aeon's design favours Poster icons for Movies and TV Shows, and a rapidly-expanding TV Poster section has now opened on this website. As ever, its contents are high quality throughout and entirely free. June 22, 2008:

The Summer of Aeon Bit of a belated announcement for something already underway, but the last two days have seen the first in a series of updates scheduled for Summer 2008. Partly to sustain momentum and partly to reward the increasing number of Aeon fans, there'll be weekly updates to the skin, website and backdrop library. This weekend saw over 100 1080p backdrops added to the collection, all free to download, including a set of 16 dedicated to Capcom's Street Fighter IV.
